Release of Susan Hassan Zadeh, Civil Activist and Kurdish Language Teacher, on Bail from Prison

According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, Susan Hassan Zadeh, a civil activist and Kurdish language teacher from Bukan, was released from Orumieh prison after posting an 800 million toman bail.
Susan Hassan Zadeh was arrested on May 15, 2024, by security forces without presenting judicial documents and with the use of violence. She was then transferred to one of the security detention centers in Orumieh.
During her detention, Ms. Hassan Zadeh was allowed only one brief phone call with her family.
