Maysoon Majidi is a political and civil activist and a human rights advocate, and a member of the Hana Human Rights Organization. She was forced to leave Iraqi Kurdistan with her brother due to increasing insecurity. They aimed to reach Europe, but unfortunately, upon arrival in Italy on the first day of 2024, she was arrested by Italian police on charges of assisting the ship's captain that brought them from Turkey to Italy.

The Hana Human Rights Organization calls on all Italian and European human rights organizations and the international community to support this young woman and human rights activist, who has become a victim of the unjust judicial system and governance of the Islamic Republic of Iran and is now imprisoned due to ambiguities in her case.
