The death of a Kurdish prisoner due to the denial of medical services

Hana: On Saturday, April 15, 2023, a 63-year-old Kurdish prisoner with the identity of "Abdullah Badawi" from Sharif Abad village of Urmia, died due to the deprivation of medical services in the prison of that city.
It is necessary to remember that, in June 2014, he was arrested and sentenced to 2 years in prison on the charge of "acting against national security" through being a member of one of the Kurdistan parties, and in another case on the charges of crimes related to "narcotics".was sentenced to death. The death sentence of this prisoner had been changed to life imprisonment in the past few years.
According to reports, the mentioned person suffers from heart disease and diabetes and since 2014, despite the advice of prison health doctors, he was denied access to medical services and sent on sick leave. He died yesterday due to a stroke in prison.
