 Saqqez: "Zamane Zivaye" Arrested for Execution of Prison Sentence

According to the colleagues of Hana Human Rights Organization, "Zamane Zaviye", a legal expert and civil activist from "Saqez", who is the mother of a young child, was arrested to serve 10 months of imprisonment with reference to "Saqqez" prison.

On February 28, 2022, Zamaneh Ziviyeh was arrested without a court order on the charge of being a member of Kurdish Political parties and propagandizing against the regime by the forces of the intelligence department of "Sanandaj" city. Then, on Sunday, February 28, she was transferred from "Sanandaj" prison to "Saqqez" prison, and on February 20, 2022, she was temporarily released with a bail of 300 million tomans.

On May, 1, 2022, she was brought to court by Javad Mostafai, head of the first branch of the Islamic Revolution Court of Saqqez city, along with two other people. Although they were acquitted of the charges on the Kurdistan parties in a court session, they were sentenced to a total of 27 months in prison for propagandizing against the regime.
The named person was arrested in 2017, and in the Revolutionary Court of Saqqez along with two other citizens named "Manare Malavise" and "Ayoub Javanpour" resident of this city on the charge of "disrupting national security" by participating in public celebrations after holding a joint inquiry. For the independence of the Kurdistan regional government, each of them was sentenced to 50 lashes in public and a fine of one million eight hundred thousand tomans.
