Arrest of a Kurdish civil activist from Marivan by security forces

According to the colleagues of Hana Human Rights Organization: On Tuesday, February 20, 2024, a civil activist with the identity of "Dana Lanjabadi, 34 years old, married and a former political prisoner from Marivan, was arrested by the security forces and then transferred to the detention center of the Marivan Intelligence Agency.

According to the reports, on Thursday February 22, 2024, Mr. Lanjabadi was accused of "propaganda against the regime" in Marivan Public and Revolutionary Council and was sent back to the Marivan Intelligence Department detention center with a one-month temporary arrest warrant.
It should be noted that in 2014, after the sit-in of Payam Noor University students in Marivan, in protest against the execution of three Kurdish political prisoners, he was arrested by the security forces and then sentenced to one year in prison by the revolutionary court of this city on the charge of "propaganda against the regime". He was sentenced to eight months in prison and 50 lashes on the charge of "disturbance of public peace and order".
