Arrest and transfer of Nahid Khodajo to Evin prison to execute the prison sentence

Based on the reports received; On Wednesday, February 21, 2024, Nahid Khodajo, a labor activist, was arrested by the security forces at one of her friends home located in Fardis Karaj, after a thorough search of the house, and she was taken to Evin prison to serve her five-year prison sentence.
Nahid Khodajo, a labor activist and a member of the Free Workers' Union and a former political prisoner, was arrested on May 1, 2019, in front of the parliament building, at the same time as International Labor Day, and was released on bail on June 3, 2019.
It should be mentioned that on August 1, 2019, Mrs. Khodajo was tried at branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court for the charges of assembly and collusion to act against the security of the country and disturbance of public peace and order, and was sentenced to a total of 6 years in prison and 74 lashes. The judgment issued in the Court of Appeal was affirmed.
