Suleiman Abdi, a teacher from Saqqez, was sentenced to eight months in prison

According to the report of Hana's colleagues; In recent days, Suleiman Abdi, a teacher and a member of the Kurdistan Teachers' Union of Saqqez and Zivaye branches, was sentenced to eight months in prison by the Saqqez Revolutionary Court on the charge of "propaganda against the regime".

It should be noted that on Monday, July 17, 2023, Suleiman Abdi was sentenced to eight months in prison and 70 lashes by Branch 105 of the Saqqez Criminal Court on charges of "disturbance in public order and peace by participating in illegal gatherings at Aichi Mausoleum". 

The court changed Suleiman Abdi's eight-month imprisonment to 720 hours of teaching to the people covered by the Relief Committee and suspended his punishment of 70 lashes for two years.
 
  Suleiman Abdi was arrested by government forces on Sunday morning, March 19, 2023, and on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, after the interrogation process, he was transferred from Sanandaj Intelligence Department detention center to Saqqez prison, and then on Monday, April 2023, with a heavy bail of 200 million tomans, he was temporarily released from the central prison of Saqoz.
