An environmental activist from Marivan, Kaveh Karimian, was sentenced to prison

Hana: On Saturday, December 9, 2023, Kaveh Karimian, an environmental activist and a member of the Green Chia Association of Marivan, was sentenced to two years of suspended imprisonment by the revolutionary court of this city on the charges of "propaganda against the regime and cooperation with one of the Kurdish opposition parties of the Iranian government.
Mr. Karimian was arrested on "September 10, 2023" along with 31 other environmental activists by the intelligence forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and finally on Saturday "October 14, 2023" he was temporarily released from prison after posting bail.
