Mr. Latifi was arrested by agents of the Sanandaj Intelligence Office on February 15, 2022, and later transferred to the Sanandaj prison. On March 21, 2022, he was transferred from prison to sanandaj information administration's news headquarters again and returned to the city's prison after about a month.
Kiomars Latifi is a civil activist in Sanandaj who has been active since 2008 by establishing Kurdish language classes in the city. He was also a member of the board of directors of the Kurdish Molavi Association in Sanandaj.
