Mojgan Kavousi denied leave

The Disciplinary Council of Evin Prison has denied Kurdish writer and researcher Mojgan Kavousi the right to leave for one year.

In September 2020, the Kurdish writer from Kelardasht, Mazandaran, went on a hunger strike for two weeks to protest the lack of leave.
The Revolutionary Court of Noshahr had issued a travel ban for this activist without any notification or information.
The Revolutionary Court of Noshahr sentenced the Kurdish writer to 33 months in prison on charges of "membership in opposition parties of the Iranian government", "incitement to disrupt public order" and "propaganda against the state" to 30 months imprisonment.
