Arrest of a Kurdish Citizen in Quchan for Posting a Story About Ebrahim Raisi's Death

Hana: On Monday, May 20, 2024, a Kurdish citizen identified as "Reza Bebarnejad," the brother of Mehdi Bebarnejad, who was killed during the Zhina revolutionary movement in Quchan, was arrested by security forces for posting a story on his Instagram page about the death of Ebrahim Raisi. He was subsequently transferred to an unknown location.
According to published reports, security forces raided Mr. Bebarnejad's home without presenting judicial documents and arrested him with violence.
Mehdi Bebarnejad, a 22-year-old from Quchan, died on September 21, 2022, as a result of direct gunfire from government forces during the Zhina revolutionary movement.
