Execution of a Prisoner in Orumiyeh Central Prison

According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, at dawn on Monday, December 23, 2024, the execution of a Kurdish prisoner identified as “Loqman Shangeh,” 45, son of Habib and a resident of Naqadeh, was carried out in Orumiyeh Central Prison.
Hana’s sources indicate that Loqman Shangeh was arrested in 2017 on charges related to drug offenses and subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The prisoner had been transferred from Naqadeh Prison to solitary confinement in Orumiyeh Central Prison on Sunday in preparation for the execution of his sentence.
