A workplace accident caused severe injury to a worker

According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization: in recent days, an electricity department employee identified as “Jamal Moradi” from Saqqez suffered an electric shock while working and was severely injured.
According to received reports, following the incident, the individual suffered severe burns on his hands and feet and was transferred to Kosar Hospital for medical treatment, where he is currently in the ICU.
The lack of proper oversight by authorities on work practices, the safety of workers, and the irresponsibility of employers are major causes of unsafe working conditions. This situation has led to Iran ranking 102nd in the world in terms of workplace safety, making it a highly unsafe country for workers.
