The Arbitrary Arrest of at Least 7 Kurdish Citizens by Security Forces in Sarpol-e Zahab

According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at least seven Kurdish citizens—identified as Heiman Palani, 25; Khaled Kamari, 27; Ayman Safaei, 21; Omid Salehi, 17; Erfan Moradi, 25; Payam Ranjbar, 27; and Kumar Salehi, 23 residents of Sarpol-e Zahab in Kermanshah Province, were arrested by security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to Hana’s sources, these individuals were arbitrarily arrested by security forces at their homes without any judicial warrants. It is noteworthy that, as of the time of this report’s publication, no information is available regarding the reasons for their detention or their current whereabouts.
