Execution of Four Prisoners in Iilam Central Prison

According to a report received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on the morning of Tuesday, December 3, 2024, the death sentences of four prisoners were carried out at Iilam Central Prison. The prisoners were identified as Farideh Jafarzadeh from Iilam, Aliyeh Kavari Zadeh from Dehloran, Abdolwahab Babakhanyan from Badreh, and Hassan Hasanbeigi from Sarab Karzan, a district of Shirvan County.
According to Hana’s sources, Aliyeh Kavari Zadeh was charged with the “premeditated murder” of her husband, Abdolwahab Babakhanyan was charged with the “premeditated murder” of his sister and brother-in-law, and Farideh Jafarzadeh and Hassan Hasanbeigi were also charged with “premeditated murder.” They were subsequently sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
