Injury of a Piranshahr Kolbar Following Military Forces’ Gunfire

Hana Report: On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, a Kolbar identified as “Abdollah Maroufi,” a married father of two from the village of “Gazgask,” a suburb of Piranshahr, was severely injured due to gunfire by military forces.

According to sources from the Hana Human Rights Organization: Mr. Maroufi was directly shot by military forces without prior warning while carrying goods (Kolbari) in the “Seh Choman” highlands near the Piranshahr border. He was severely injured and has been transferred to medical facilities for treatment.

Unemployment, poverty, and destitution caused by the government’s failure to create jobs, coupled with the shooting of citizens, represent clear violations of human rights. This is in stark contrast to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which Iran is obligated to uphold as a signatory.
