Three citizens from Oshnavieh have been sentenced to 16 months in prison

According to Hana, in recent days, three Kurdish citizens—Diako Azizi from the village of Bab Khaledabad, and Siamand and Luqman Zangi from the village of Kani Surk in Oshnavieh—have been sentenced to 16 months in prison by Branch 101 of the Criminal Court 2 in Oshnavieh, presided over by Judge Ansari. They were convicted on charges of cooperating and maintaining connections with one of the “Kurdish opposition parties against the Iranian government.”
According to the report, the sentences for the three citizens were officially communicated to them on November 1, 2024.
Luqman Zangi, Diako Azizi, and Siamand Zangi were arrested on September 5, 2024, without being presented with any judicial documents. After the completion of their interrogation, each was released temporarily from prison on bail.
