Execution of a Prisoner in Ghezel Hesar Prison, Karaj

According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, at dawn on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, the execution of a Kurdish prisoner named “Jalil Eghbalzadeh,” son of Fereydoun and a resident of “Mal-Amiri Sofla” village in Sahneh County, Kermanshah Province, was carried out in Ghezel Hesar Prison, Karaj.

According to received reports, he was arrested about four years ago on charges related to “drug offenses” and was sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
