Hana Human Rights Organization Report: More than 740 days have passed since the arrest of “Osman Mama,” a 55-year-old resident of Bukan. However, no information about the condition or fate of this Kurdish citizen has been made available to date.
Osman Mama, son of Hassan, a married resident of Bukan, was arrested by security forces on November 18, 2022 during the revolutionary movement “Woman, Life, Freedom” after leaving his home in Bukan. He was then transferred to an unknown location.
A reliable source told Hana colleagues that after 15 months of repeated efforts by Osman Mama’s family to contact security agencies and the Supreme Leader’s office for information about his fate, their attempts were unsuccessful, leading to growing concerns among his family and close relations.
The source also stated that during these 740 days of detention, Osman Mama has been denied the right to legal representation, family visits, and all other basic human rights.
