"A 17-year-old girl was killed by her father for honor motive."

According to colleagues at the Hana Human Rights Organization: On Monday, August 26, 2024, a 17-year-old girl named "Mobina Zeynivand" from the village of "Garzlangar" in the Darreh Shahr area of Eilam was shot and killed by her father.
According to received reports, Mobina Zeynivand was killed by her father, identified as (R. Kh.), with a shotgun due to an 'honor' motive after she was found to be in a relationship with a boy.
It is worth mentioning that state media avoided publishing the true cause of the murder and even falsely reported the victim’s age as one year older.
The murder of women and girls is a result of patriarchal thinking and systematic anti-woman laws in society. Although in patriarchal societies both men and women are victims, women must never cross religious or patriarchal boundaries for survival; otherwise, they may meet the same fate as Mahya Naderi.
