The identities of these six civil and environmental activists have been confirmed by the Hana Human Rights Organization: "Hamid Sabzeh," director of the environmental association "Zhivai Paveh" and journalist, "Farideh Veysi," civil activist and journalist from Paveh, "Amanj Ghorbani, Amir Nadimi, Farzin Movafaqi," civil and environmental activists, and "Hessam Mahdi," a teacher from Kamyaran.

According to this report, these civil and environmental activists were arrested near the Kohestan restaurant on the Sanandaj to Kamyaran road by security forces after the funeral of Ismail Karimi. They were threatened with Kalashnikov weapons, beaten, and then transferred to the Kamyaran intelligence office.

Ismail Karimi, an environmental activist from Kamyaran, suffered over 80% burns two days ago while trying to control a fire in the Kanishah pastures. He died today, Wednesday, July 24, 2024, due to the severity of his injuries in a hospital in Kermanshah.
