Ayoub Javanpour was sentenced by the First Branch of the Revolutionary Court of Saqez, presided over by Judge Keyvan Jahani, on Saturday, July 22, 2023, to various charges: one year of imprisonment for “propaganda against the regime,” two years for “insulting the founders of the Islamic Republic,” two years for “insulting the leadership of the Islamic Republic,” and 10 years for “organizing a group of more than two people inside the country with the intent of disrupting national security.”

After appealing this verdict, the case was referred to the Court of Appeals, where his sentence was reduced to three years in prison.

It is worth mentioning that he was initially arrested by government forces at his residence in Saqqez on June 10, 2023, and taken to the Intelligence Department of Sanandaj for interrogation. After the interrogation process, he was transferred to Saqez Prison.
