According to this report, on Thursday, October 17, 2024 , a citizen named Younes Fathi from the village of Kaneamat, located in the Sarshiv district of Saqqez county, was arrested by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.

According to available information, he is 46 years old, married, and the father of three children.

A witness stated that Younes Fathi was arrested by security forces without any judicial warrant while working in construction in the village of Bastam, also part of the Sarshiv district in Saqqez, and was taken to an unknown location.

A source close to the family stated that, in a very brief phone call, he informed them that he had been transferred to Mahabad prison.

Despite the family’s efforts to follow up with the prosecutor’s office and prison authorities, no legal information regarding Younes Fathi’s status has been made available.
