Hana: Today, Wednesday, October 23, 2024, Saman Yasin, a rap singer from Kermanshah and one of the detainees of the revolutionary #Jina movement, was released on medical leave from Qezel Hesar Prison in Karaj after two years of detention, upon posting bail of 4 billion tomans.

Ramin Safarnia Kheshtaoni, his defense attorney, announced in a statement: “Today, my client, Saman Yasin (Yasin), after enduring around 26 months of imprisonment, was granted medical leave from Qezel Hesar Prison with the approval of the medical commission and judicial authorities, after posting 4 billion tomans in bail.”

This Kurdish artist was arrested on Monday, October 2, 2022, during nationwide protests in Tehran and was later sentenced to death on charges of “enmity against God (Moharebeh),” “assembly and collusion to commit a crime,” and “acting against national security.” However, this sentence was overturned by the Supreme Court after some time.
