Orumiyeh / Political Prisoners Threatened by IRGC Intelligence Protection.

According to reports received by the Human Rights Organization Hana: On the evening of Monday, September 2, 2024, security forces from the IRGC Intelligence Protection visited the political prisoners' ward in Orumiyeh and threatened several political prisoners with death.
According to a well-informed source, security forces have warned several political prisoners that if they continue their participation in the "Tuesdays #NoToExecution" hunger strike, both their own lives and those of their families will be at risk, and the responsibility will fall on them.
Meanwhile, political prisoners in Orumiyeh Prison have joined this campaign in recent weeks.
It is noteworthy that the 32nd week of the "Tuesdays #NoToExecution" campaign began today, Tuesday, September 3, 2024, in 21 prisons.
Prisons participating in this Tuesday's hunger strike, in addition to Asadabad Prison in Isfahan and Bam Prison in Kerman, which joined this week, include: Evin (women's ward, wards 4 and 8), Ghezalhessar (units 3 and 4), Central Karaj, Greater Tehran, Khorramabad, Shiraz Military, Mashhad, Lakan Rasht, Qaemshahr, Tabriz, Ardabil, Orumiyeh, Salmas, Khoy, Naqadeh, Saqqez, Baneh, Mariwan, and Kamyaran.
