Mohammad Faraji, Raouf Sheikh Maroufi, and Kamran Soltani, three Kurdish citizens from Bukan, were arrested by security forces during the nationwide protests of 2022 in this city.

According to received reports, Raouf Sheikh Maroufi has been charged with "corruption on earth" in one case, and after the issuance of the indictment, his case was sent to the first branch of the Islamic Revolutionary Court of Mahabad. Another case has also been filed against him in the first branch of the criminal court of Bukan under the presidency of "Golhosseini," but no information is available regarding the charges in this case.

Mohammad Faraji and Kamran Soltani have also been charged with "enmity against God" in a joint case, and after the issuance of the indictment, their case was sent to the first branch of the Islamic Revolutionary Court of Mahabad.

It is worth noting that Raouf Sheikh Maroufi was arrested by intelligence forces in Bukan on "December 26, 2022," and then transferred to the detention center of the Intelligence Office in Orumieh, and finally, on "June 10, 2023," he was transferred to Bukan prison.

Kamran Soltani and Mohammad Faraji were also arrested by security forces in Bukan on "February 21 and 26, 2023," respectively, then transferred to the detention center of the Intelligence Office in Orumieh, and finally, on "June 10, 2023," they were transferred to Bukan prison.
