Targeting of a Tradesman by Border Post Forces
08:20 - 8/7/2024
According to colleagues from the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Sunday, July 7, 2024, forces at the Hangzhal border post summoned a Kurdish tradesman under the pretext of bringing food. After receiving 15 portions of food, the commander of the same post ordered a shot to be fired at the tradesman from behind. He is now in critical condition in a hospital in Sanandaj.
The identity of this tradesman has been confirmed as "Ribwar Rashidi," married, father of two children, and a resident of the village of "Kila" in the Baneh region.
Reports from Hana colleagues in Baneh indicate that similar incidents have previously occurred, where border post forces lured tradesmen into the border posts under various pretexts.
