Hetaw Akrami, Released on Bail

According to Hana's colleagues: On Monday, June 24, 2024, Hetaw Akrami, a resident of Takab and living in Bukan, a member of the family of the martyrs of the revolutionary #Zhina movement, was released on a bail of 6 billion tomans.


Hetaw Akrami was violently arrested by security forces on Friday, June 1, 2024. Ms. Akrami resides abroad and was arrested upon her return to Iran due to her critical posts on Instagram and her advocacy for justice for her cousin's blood. She was arrested violently at her family home by security forces.

Hetaw Akrami is the cousin of Mehran Akrami, one of the martyrs of the revolutionary #Zhina movement, who was arrested by security forces in Saqqez in November 2022 and later died under torture by intelligence forces on March 13, 2024.

Mehran Akrami, 33, a native of Takab, was an athlete in Taekwondo with several national championship titles.
