According to the reports received by Hana Human Rights Organization: Babak Karimi, a young citizen from Ivangharb, was sentenced to 4 years, 9 months and one day in prison by the second branch of the Ilam Court of Appeal.

Based on the reports received; The named person was sentenced to 15 months and one day in prison by the second branch of the Court of Appeal headed by Judge Youssef Moradinejad on charges of  insulting the authorities of Iran's judiciary" and 3 years and 6 months in prison on charge of "assembly and collusion against the internal security of the country.
His sentence of 3 years and 6 months of imprisonment will be enforceable.
Babak Karimi was previously sentenced to 5 years imprisonment, by the second branch of the Ilam Revolutionary Court on the charges of "assembly and collusion with the intention of disrupting internal security,  insulting the leadership to 2 years imprisonment and insulting the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran" 2 years imprisonment, which in total He was sentenced to 9 years in prison.

Babak Karimi, the son of Yadalleh and from Ivangharb, was arrested by the government forces on Wednesday, September 21, 2023, during the nationwide protests of this city, and after some time, he was temporarily released from the central prison of Ilam with a bail of two billion tomans.
