Earlier today, the death sentence for Shorsh Morvati was carried out in Sanandaj Prison.

Hana: According to the reports published on the morning of Tuesday, August 22, 2023, the death sentence of Gholamreza (Shorsh) Morvati was carried out in Sanandaj Central Prison. The named person was arrested on the charge of intentional murder on November 04, 2009.
During the uprising of Saqqez prisoners in April 2020, Morvati managed to escape from prison, and after some time, he was arrested again and finally executed this morning in Sanandaj prison.
Hana human rights organization is against the death sentence and considers it a state murder and wants to abolish this inhumane sentence in Iran.
