A report on the situation of Sakine Parvaneh political prison

Hana Human Rights Organization today, Sunday March 12, 2023, has a report on the status of the Kurdish political prisoner Sakineh Parvaneh, prepared as follows.

Hana; On Tuesday, March 7, 2023, a 34-year-old citizen with the identity of Sakineh Parvaneh, the daughter of Hassan, a political prisoner and a native of Qouchan, North Khorasan province, was arrested by government forces and transferred to an unknown location.

It is necessary to remember that the named person was released from Mashhad Central Prison on Wednesday, February 20, 2023, after completing the fourth year of her sentence.

It is worth noting that this Kurdish political prisoner went on a two-day hunger strike on Sunday, September 18, 2022, in protest against the murder of Zhina Amini and in solidarity with the people of Kurdistan, and announced that starting today, at the same time as her hunger strike, she would also hold a ceremony to commemorate Zhina Amini will be held in Mashhad Women's Prison.

According to the report of the lawyer of this political prisoner, on Monday, May 25, 2020, the client was sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment and 2 years of ban from membership in political groups on the charge of "membership in a group or organization that opposes the regime with the aim of disrupting the security of the country." 

Sakineh Parvaneh has already published a letter on Thursday "June 25, 2020" and described the process of arrest and harassment she experienced while in prison, based on her statements, the security agents of the Islamic Republic of Iran visited her on the pretext of meeting her family on Friday "February 7, 2020", in the city of Sulaymaniyah, Iraqi Kurdistan (southern Kurdistan), she was kidnapped and transferred to Iran, spent 10 days in security detention centers in Marivan and Sanandaj, until she was finally transferred to Evin prison.

She spent her detention under the harshest conditions of interrogation along with physical tortures in two Alef, 209, and women's wards of Evin prison.

In April 2020, Sakineh Parvaneh was transferred to Qarchak-e-Varamin prison for writing and chanting slogans in Evin prison, and after 4 days of solitary confinement, she was transferred to Amin Abad psychiatric hospital in Shahr-e-Ray.

On Saturday, July 4, 2020, while there were bruises and beatings on her body, she was again transferred to Evin prison, and on August 2020, the judicial system of the Islamic Republic sentenced her to 2 years in prison on the charge of "prison disturbance."

On Tuesday, October 27, 2020, this political prisoner was transferred from Tehran's Evin prison to Qouchan and Mashhad prisons. During this period, she was transferred several times to the detention center of Mashhad Revolutionary Guards Intelligence Organization and was subjected to physical and mental restraints to make forced confessions on television.

This political prisoner also went on hunger strike and committed suicide several times in protest against the pressure of the security institutions.
