Banah; Prosecution of security agencies against a political activist

According to Hana's colleagues, Dr. Mohammad Ghadami, a political activist and presidential candidate for the 12 and 13th terms, was summoned by the General Court of Kurdistan Province in Sanandaj on Monday (June 13, 2022) on charges of "spreading lies."

 

According to a statement issued by the Prosecutor of the Revolutionary Court of the province with the identity of "Elias Norouzpour Khodashahri" against Dr. Mohammad Ghadami, he has five days to explain what is called "publishing lies" and otherwise A warrant will be issued for his arrest.

Dr. Mohammad Ghadami told Hana Human Rights Organization about this; "I do not accept the accusations of" spreading lies "in any way, but all my activities have been in the direction of realizing national and human rights and my demands have been in a legal way. I have been under various headings such as" Publishing lies, disturbing public opinion, insulting the Leadership, etc. "I have been summoned more than twenty times so far, but I have not accepted these accusations in any way, and I will not accept them in the future unless the accusations against me are proven in a fair court." He also confirmed that; He is currently free due to similar cases with a bail of 50 million Tomans.

It should be noted; "Dr. Mohammad Ghadami" was expelled from the building of the Ministry of Interior and the registration branch for the presidency by the security forces after the announcement of his candidacy in the 13th presidential election in Iran and after announcing his candidacy and referring to the Ministry of Interior.

Earlier in his remarks after the incident, Dr. Mohammad Ghadami stated that the only reason he was fired from the Interior Ministry building and prevented from running was because he was Kurdish and Sunni.
