The Kurdish citizen, who is currently being held in a security detention center in Urmia, was detained without a court order. At the time of his arrest, he was deprived of all his rights, including the right to visit, call and have a lawyer.

"Hossein Qureshi" was arbitrarily arrested by the intelligence services on Thursday, January 27, 2022, and transferred to the detention centers in Urmia. No information is available on the reason for the arrest of this citizen until this report is prepared.
Detention of persons without charge and impossibility of access to a lawyer for the accused are among the violations of international human rights instruments, Article 9 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Article 9 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, adopted on December 16, 1966.
