The assassination attempt on Sohrab Rahmati, a Kurdish political activist

According to the reports received by Hana Human Rights Organization: Sohrab Rahmati, a political activist from Bukan and a member of the Kurdistan Regional Lawyers Association, was shot on Thursday evening, November 16, 2023.
According to received reports; Sohrab Rahmati was targeted with a collet weapon in front of his house in Havalan area of "Erbil (Holir)" and was seriously wounded in the stomach area and was taken to a hospital in Erbil for medical treatment.
It should be mentioned that Mr. Rahmati, a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran, was threatened by the forces of the Islamic Republic during the past years due to the cases he was representing.
Sohrab Rahmati represented the case of Behrouz Rahmati, a member of the Pajak and Qadir Qadri, a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran, who were assassinated in the Kurdistan Region.
