Hana: According to the Iranian Human Rights Center, on Sunday January 28, 2024, the guard forces of Qazalhasar prison attacked Ward 4, which is where political prisoners are kept, and clashed with them. According to reports, several prisoners were beaten and injured by the guards. In addition, the guard forces of Qazalhasar prison destroyed the property of the prisoners.
Additional reports indicate that now the guard of Qazalhasar prison is present in the prison yard with weapons. The reason for the attack on unit 4 of Qazalhasar prison, which is the place of political prisoners, was their protest and sit-in against the death sentence of 4 Kurdish political prisoners.
According to this report, the agents of the Ministry of Intelligence accompanied the guards and beat and broke the prisoners' belongings.
