June 12 is World Day Against Child Labor

Hana: Although the purpose of naming and designating a day as a day of struggle against child labor is to increase awareness and work to prevent child labor, but in Iran the living conditions resulting from the wrong economic policy increase this phenomenon and the government itself has become a violator of children's rights and the increase of child labor.

According to published statistics, there are between 3 and 7 million working children in Iran, but due to the fact that most working children do not have any identity and the Statistics Center of Iran does not want to announce the exact number of working children, there are no complete statistics in this regard.
The instrumental use of children by the government in Basij militias and work projects of the Revolutionary Guards, as well as the use of children in government rallies in which they incite hatred, such as the instrumental use of children and the lack of proper education The Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Modern World are at odds with the rights of children, which are being pursued by the government.

According to the government's own statistics, Kurdistan ranks first in the misery index in Iran, and for this reason, children, as a large part of society, are also the most vulnerable segment of society, and the increase in working children is one of the consequences of this situation.
