Execution of Two Members of a Family in Jiroft Prison

According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on the morning of Thursday, December 26, 2024, the death sentences of two Kurdish inmates were carried out in Jiroft Prison, Kerman Province. The executed individuals were identified as Saman Fakhri, 33 years old, married, and the father of one child, from Baneh, and his nephew Asad Amini, 27 years old, from Sardasht.
According to a reliable source, Saman Fakhri and Asad Amini were transferred to solitary confinement in Jiroft Prison on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, in preparation for the execution of their death sentences.
The source further stated that their executions were carried out secretly, without granting them a final visit with their families.
Reports indicate that the two inmates were arrested in Jiroft four years ago on charges related to drug offenses. They were tried jointly in a single case and sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
