Edris Haji-Rasolpour and Heman Ebrahim Hamzeh Sentenced to Imprisonment

According to Hana’s Colleagues: Two Kurdish citizens, Edris Haji-Rasolpour and Heman Ebrahim Hamzeh, residents of the village of Qareh Gol, a district of Bukan, were sentenced to three months of imprisonment each by Branch 101 of the Criminal Court in this city. They were charged with “propaganda against the regime.”

The sentence was communicated to these two citizens on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.

According to received reports, these individuals were arrested by security forces on the morning of Thursday, May 9, 2024. They were transferred to a security detention center in Orumiyeh for interrogation. After the completion of their interrogation, they were transferred to Bukan Prison and eventually released temporarily on bail on Saturday, June 1, 2024.

It is worth noting that Edris Haji-Rasolpour is a member of the family seeking justice for his brother, Mohammad Haji-Rasolpour, one of the detainees of the Woman, Life, Freedom movement in Bukan. Mohammad had fallen into a coma due to severe torture in security detention centers and passed away on December 19, 2022, at Qalipour Hospital in Bukan.
