Bukan: Two members of a family were sentenced to 14 months in prison

According to received reports, two members of a family, “Peyman Shiri,” 19, and “Serva Shiri,” 22, from the village of “Targheh” in the suburbs of Bukan, have been sentenced to 14 months in prison each by Branch 101 of the Criminal Court II. They were convicted on charges of “propaganda activities against the regime in favor of one of the Kurdish opposition parties to the Iranian government.”
According to received reports, this brother and sister were arrested on September 25, 2024, by security forces without presenting any judicial documentation. They were transferred to one of Orumiyeh’s security detention centers for interrogation and were eventually released temporarily on bail after the completion of the interrogation process.
