Environmental activist Jamshid Charkhkar from Sanandaj arrested by security forces

According to the reports received by Hana Human Rights Organization: On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, Jamshid Charkhkar, an environmental activist and a member of the Sanandaj "Chel Chame" mountaineering group, was arrested by the security forces.
According to one of Mr. Charkhkar's relatives, he was arrested by the security forces in his personal home without presenting legal documents.
Jamshid Charkhkar is married and from Sanandaj.
At the time of publication of this news, there is no information about the reason for the arrest and the whereabouts of this environmental activist.
