Death of a Gold Mine Worker in Dashkasan, Qorveh, Due to a Work Accident

According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Sunday, November 17, 2024, a worker identified as “Rahmat Bakhtiari,” son of Hamdollah and a resident of Qorveh, lost his life while operating a bulldozer due to a technical malfunction in the machine.
This worker, while operating a bulldozer at the stone crushing unit of the Dashkasan gold mine in Qorveh, noticed a technical malfunction in the machine. As he attempted to fix the issue, the bulldozer fell on him, resulting in his death.
Rahmat Bakhtiari, 48 years old, was married and the father of three children.
According to received reports, the bulldozer he was operating had persistent issues with its gas and injector system. Despite multiple warnings and repair requests by the worker, stating that the gas system could not be adjusted, no action was taken to address the problem.
