The death sentence for Reza Rasaei was carried out

According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, the execution of Reza Rasaei, a 33-year-old political prisoner and one of the detainees of the Jina Revolutionary Movement, was carried out at dawn on Tuesday, "August 6, 2024," in Dizelabad Prison, Kermanshah.
According to a source, Reza Rasaei's execution was carried out without the right to a final meeting.
Reza Rasaei was sentenced to death by retribution (Qisas) in October 2023 by the Second Branch of the Criminal Court of Kermanshah Province on charges of premeditated murder. This sentence was upheld by the 17th Branch of the Supreme Court in late December of the same year.
This ruling was confirmed by the Supreme Court of the Islamic Republic despite numerous procedural and substantive flaws in the verdict issued by the trial court.
Recently, the judicial authorities and Dizelabad Prison officials in Kermanshah had cut off Reza Rasaei's access to phone calls with his family and in-person visits.
