Confirmation of the death sentence of a PKK member by the Supreme Court.

Hana: The death sentence of "Hatam Ozdemir," son of Abdolrahman, from Turkish Kurdistan and a member of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), has been confirmed by the Supreme Court.
In May 2024, Hatam Ozdemir was sentenced to death by Branch 3 of the Orumiyeh Court, presided over by Judge “Najafzadeh,” on charges of rebellion and “waging war against God” (Moharebeh).
The court session for this Kurdish political prisoner was held on April 23, 2024, in Branch 3 of the Orumiyeh Revolutionary Court, and the sentence was officially communicated to him on Sunday, May 19, 2024.
Hatam Ozdemir was wounded in the summer of 2019 during clashes between PKK forces and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Chaldoran and was captured unconscious.
Later, at the end of August 2019, after two months of interrogation, he was transferred from the IRGC Intelligence Detention Center in Orumiyeh to the city’s prison.
