Edris Karsaz was sentenced to three years in prison.

According to reports received, Edris Karsaz, a 55-year-old citizen from Oshnavieh, has been sentenced to three years in prison by the Revolutionary Court of the city for the charge of “membership and collaboration with one of the Kurdish opposition parties against the Iranian government.”
Mr. Karsaz was arrested by security forces on Thursday, April 2, 2024, and transferred to the Intelligence Department in Orumiyeh for interrogation. After completing the interrogation process, he was moved to Oshnavieh Prison. Edris Karsaz was eventually released temporarily on August 21, 2024, after posting bail of 600 million tomans.
