Ismail Karimi, an environmental activist, died as a result of severe injuries.

According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization: On Wednesday, July 24, 2024, Ismail Karimi, an environmental activist, married and father of two children, and a resident of Kamyaran, passed away in a hospital in Kermanshah due to severe burn injuries.
According to an informed source, Mr. Karimi suffered over 80% burns two days ago while trying to control a fire in the "Kanishah" pastures. He was transferred to Kosar Hospital in Sanandaj for medical treatment and then to a hospital in Kermanshah, where he lost his live to the severity of his burn injuries.
