Workplace Accidents Result in the Deaths of Two in Saqqez and Salmas

According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, on Saturday, August 3, 2024, a worker identified as "Rasoul Foroozesh," who was married, the father of three children, and a resident of Saqqez, lost his life due to electrocution caused by the lack of safety measures at his workplace. On the same day, another construction worker identified as "Parviz Naqshin," the son of Adel and a resident of Salmas, died after falling from a height while working at a construction site in Urmia.

Parviz Naqshin, 40 years old, was married and the father of three children. He was from the village of "Zindasht" in the Salmas district.

It is worth noting that Iran ranks 102nd in the world for job safety. In Iran, workers are often engaged in hard labor for low wages, leading to fatigue and accidents like these. Despite this, no workplace insurance is provided for these workers.
