Detention of Sajjad Moradi Vandan, a Citizen from Abdanan, Following Reaction to the Death of Ebrahim Raisi

Hana: On Wednesday, May 29, 2024, Sajjad Moradi Vandan, son of Taghi and a citizen of Abdanan, was detained after being summoned to the city’s court.
According to received reports, Mr. Moradi Vandan was detained in connection with his reaction to the death of Ebrahim Raisi posted on his Instagram page. Following his detention, he was transferred to Dareh Shahr Prison.
It is noted that he had previously been detained by the IRGC forces in Masjed Soleiman on January 31, 2023. During his detention at Ilam Central Prison, he protested the lack of attention to his case by sewing his lips together and going on a hunger strike.
This Kurdish citizen was eventually released on bail from Ilam Central Prison on April 4, 2023.
