Statistics on the Casualties of Kolbars in August 2024

According to the Human Rights Organization Hana's statistics, in August 2024, at least 15 Kurdish Kolbars and merchants were killed or injured. Among the casualties, 4 individuals named Asad Spandar, Ali Rasouli, Asad Afranjah were killed by direct gunfire from security forces, and Naser Osmani died from a fall from height. Additionally, at least 11 Kolbars were injured, all of whom were hit by direct gunfire from security forces.
It should be noted that since the beginning of 2024, 51 Kurdish Kolbars and merchants have been killed, and at least 254 have been injured. The systematic killing of Kolbars by the border forces of the Islamic Republic has become a daily occurrence, with this impoverished group, driven to this arduous and dangerous work due to unemployment and severe economic conditions, suffering daily casualties.
