Iranian Kurdish men Pejman Fatehi, Vafa Azarbar, Mohmmad Faramarzi & Mohsen Mazloum are forcibly disappeared & at grave risk of torture & other ill-treatment. Since their 20 July arrests by Ministry of Intelligence agents, Iran's authorities have been concealing their fate and whereabouts from their families and lawyers, thereby subjecting them to an enforced disappearance. Their families have not had any contact with them for five months, raising further fears for their safety and wellbeing. Given their enforced disappearance and incommunicado detention Amnesty International does not have information of their legal status; but the accusations levelled against them in state media represent offences punishable by the death penalty in Iran. Courts in Iran, particularly Revolutionary Courts, impose death sentences after unfair trials in which forced “confessions” are used as evidence to issue convictions, even when they are retracted in court and alleged to have been taken under torture, raising grave concerns that Pejman Fatehi, Vafa Azarbar, Mohmmad Faramarzi & Mohsen Mazloum could be tried and sentenced to death in an unfair trial. These concerns are heightened by Iran's authorities’ pattern of using the death penalty as a tool of political repression, in particular against members of oppressed ethnic minorities. 
@amnesty calls on Iran's authorities @khamenei_ir  to immediately reveal the fate & whereabouts of Pejman Fatehi, Vafa Azarbar, Mohmmad Faramarzi & Mohsen Mazloum, and protect them from torture and ill-treatment. Iran's authorities must provide Pejman Fatehi, Vafa Azarbar, Mohmmad Faramarzi & Mohsen Mazloum regular access to family, adequate medical care, and a lawyer of their choosing. Any trial held must be done in accordance w/internat'l fair trial standards on clearly defined, internationally recognizable offence(s) that are consistent with international law, and in proceedings that exclude coerced “confessions” and without recourse to the death penalty.
