Human Rights Statistics in July 2022 in Iranian Kurdistan

Hana: Hana Human Rights Organization Statistics Center publishes its statistical report on the human rights situation and violation of fundamental rights of Kurdish citizens in July 2022 in Iranian Kurdistan.  (Wherever the name of Kurdistan is mentioned, it means the provinces of Kermanshah, Ilam, Sanandaj (Kurdistan), Urmia (West Azerbaijan). Due to the lack of free access to news and events inside the country, this statistic cannot cover all cases of violations of citizens' rights.  It is difficult to summarize, but all the efforts of Hana human rights organization's colleagues inside the country are aimed at ensuring that utmost care is taken in adding the news and verifying the published cases.


 Based on the statistics registered in the statistics center of Hana Human Rights Organization, in July 2022, at least 81 Kurdish citizens were arrested, 13 people were executed, 41 Kolbers and border traders were killed and wounded, 3 workers were killed in work accidents while working, at least 3 people were injured due to mine explosion, at least 20 people committed suicide and finally in July at least 4 women were killed.
Arrests:
In July 2022, at least 81 Kurdish citizens were arrested by the Islamic Republic of Iran's security institutions arbitrarily and without any arrest warrant from the court. These arrests were carried out by the intelligence forces, uniformed, special forces and also called by phone. 
The identity of all the arrested persons has been confirmed for Hana Human Rights Organization, most of them have been arrested on charges of political activity, cooperation with Kurdish opposition parties of the Islamic Republic, as well as labor, union, and civil activities. According to these statistics, 55 people were arrested for political activity, 25 people were arrested for union and civic activities, especially teachers, and 1 person was arrested for religious activities. Out of the total number of those arrested, 77 were men and 4 were women.
Execution:
In July 2022, at least 13 Kurdish citizens were executed for murder and drug crimes. Of these, 11 people were executed for murder and 2 people were executed for drug-related crimes. There are 2 women among those executed in July.
 Kolbers and Border traders
According to Hana statistics, in July 2022, 41 Kolbers and Kurdish border trader were killed and injured.
Out of this number, 4 people were killed, 3 of them were killed by direct fire from the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and one person, after being shot by the forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, crashed his car and lost his life. In this month, 37 Kolber were also injured. Of these, 25 people were injured by direct fire from the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The highest number of Kolber's casualties is related to the border towns and villages of Kurdistan.
Women:
In July 2022, at least 4 women have been arrested and detained by the security agencies.
Murdering women:
Based on the statistics recorded in the Hana Statistics Center in July 2022, at least 4 women were killed by their husbands or members of the same family in connection with family disputes.
Suicide:
Based on the statistics recorded in the Hana Statistics Center in July 2022, at least 20 people committed suicide in the cities and villages of Kurdistan, which is a significant increase compared to the previous month. Of these suicides, 16 were male and 4 were female. Suicides in July were mostly young people. These suicides were due to poor living conditions and sometimes family disputes.
12 of them were under 18 years old.
Workers:
Based on the statistics recorded in Hana Statistics Center in July 2022, at least 3 Kurdish workers have died due to accidents caused by work and lack of safety at work, and a large number have been injured. In this month, 2 labor activists were summoned.
Mine explosion:
Based on the statistics recorded in the Hana Statistics Center, in July 2022, one person was killed in the borders of Kurdistan as a result of the explosion of mines and explosives left over from the Iran-Iraq war, as well as new mines planted by the Border Guard Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran. And 2 people were injured. Of these, there are 2 women and one man.
The most victims of these mines are Kolbers, traders and farmers.
children:
In July 2022, many children died, including 12 cases of suicide involving children or people under the age of 18. Also, one case of child abuse has been reported to Hana Human Rights Organization, which could be much more. Child marriage is another case that sometimes leads to suicide and two of the murders are related to child marriage.
